It's OK to remain skeptical
STATE COLLEGE, Pa. — James Franklin rattled off the list of what to know about UCLA during his Monday news conference. He stopped when he got to the Bruins’ special teams coordinator.
UCLA, in the midst of coaching upheaval and thus a football free fall for the rest of the season, didn’t even have a special teams coordinator listed on their website. It’s hard to blame them at the point. The Bruins are led by an interim head coach and even have a new play caller after the program mutually parted ways with offensive coordinator Tino Sunseri on Tuesday.
“Me and Andy (Kotelnicki) were talking about it before practice,” Franklin said Wednesday. “I’ve never really seen anything like this.”
